Materials
Each piece in our jewelry collection is crafted from high-quality materials, with rhodium plating (silver color) or 18k gold plating (gold or rose gold color). Our jewelry is water-resistant and hypoallergenic.
The application of a fine layer of rhodium gives the alloy a brighter, whiter shine. As a non-reactive metal, it also helps silver jewelry retain its color while providing a more intense brilliance than traditional silver jewelry. Rhodium plating ensures your pieces remain as radiant over time as they were on day one.
At Simsjewels Paris, we work exclusively with 18k gold—the same standard used by the world’s leading jewelry houses. We choose 18k gold because it offers the perfect balance of luxury, quality, and durability, ensuring jewelry that is both beautiful and made to last.
Cubic zirconia crystals represent the perfect balance between the brilliance of a diamond and a much more affordable price. Durable and scratch-resistant, they are an excellent choice for jewelry you can wear as often as you like.
We use gold-plated brass or gold-plated stainless steel only for a very small portion of our jewelry, particularly accessories (such as brooches) or when using more precious metals would be too costly.
Gold-plated brass (3 microns) refers to jewelry made from a brass base coated with a thin layer of gold. The 3-micron thickness corresponds to three thousandths of a millimeter, which, while light, still provides good durability for occasional wear.
What is your jewelry plating process?
Our plating process allows us to create semi-precious jewelry with a high-quality, durable finish that does not easily fade or peel.
We use the best plating method: electrochemical plating, also known as electrolysis (electroplating). This process ensures excellent adhesion of the plating, high resistance to corrosion and wear, as well as a flawless, brilliant finish.
All pieces have a plating thickness of up to 10 microns (10 thousandths of a millimeter).
